a frank antique monocular

a monocular microscope complete with original case and in very good condition for its age. made by a. franks ltd. manufacturing optician manchester circa 1880. the microscope dismantles to fit into its mahogany case. black foot, brass simple stage with clips. revolving operative light control. 3 brass objectives, coarse and fine focus controls, live chamber, specimen clamp, forceps and a fine bullseye lens on separate stand.

watson service monocular

an early black and brass watson service. inscribed w.watson and sons ltd which covers the period 1880 to 1957. the service number 32433 suggests approximately 1910. the brass is in excellent condition. one of the three objectives and stage clips are missing. the two present are 1/6 and 2/3 para and the eyepiece is x 6. original watson case (no key). an excellent start to a collection at a very keen price.
