supplied by ourselves relatively recently and no longer required for a research project. condition pristine and complete with the original packaging. the ml8530 is often referred to as the universal microscope, being equipped with both incident and transmitted illumination. additionally the excellent objectives are infinity corrected with a dark field option. x4, x10, x20 and x40 plan infinity dark field with x10 widefield eyepieces. the transmitted lighting is full kohler and the incident path has iris control, polarisation and dark field slider options.
both lighting systems are rheostat quartz halogen, with the incident source being controlled by a stand alone separate transformer. control of the transmitted is incorporated into the base of the microscope. large mechanical stage with centre glass plate and coaxial controls.
